After a very busy post vacation work week I have
decided on a weekend of Extreme Self care as Cheryl
Richardson would call it and creative retreat weekend
at home. I have cleaned my calendar of other activities
and will be focusing on my creative work of art and crafts!

My gf is out of town for the weekend so a good time to
focus on myself and my creative work. I have wanted
to have a weekend creative retreat for awhile.

I also finished Level 3 of my OWN Priestess studies so
will also take the time to enjoy doing my initiation
ritual as well as mediation this weekend.

After work I am taking a trip to the art supply store
and buying some new paint. going to try acrylics now.
Also going to stop by the local Wiccan/Pagan store and
pick up some ritual supplies and maybe some Yule gifts.

Then Heading home for a weekend of creativity, quiet
self connection, rest, and spirituality!

Have a great weekend!

*giggles* -- Husband down

  • Dec. 4th, 2009 at 11:25 AM
A husband and wife are shopping in their local Wal-Mart.
The husband picks up a case of Budweiser and puts it in their cart.

'What do you think you're doing?' asks the wife.

'They're on sale, only $10 for 24 cans,' he replies.

'Put them back, we can't afford them,' demands the wife, and so they carry on shopping.

A few aisles further on along the woman picks up a $20 jar of face cream and puts it in the basket.

'What do you think you're doing?' asks the husband.

'Its my face cream. It makes me look beautiful,' replies the wife.

Her husband retorts: 'So does 24 cans of Budweiser and it's half the price.'

On the PA system: 'Cleanup on aisle 25, we have a husband down.'

Writer's Block: Hocus pocus

Have you ever purchased a lotion, potion, or pill that promised miraculous weight loss, perfect skin, or fantastic sex even though you knew it was (probably) a hoax?

Nope I know what herbs and potions do and usually make them myself :)
I am building a resource page to shop for ' cutting edge handmade affordable fashion " .

* why ? I find it very hard to find original pieces than one can actually buy . I always find amazing clothing that i will never be able to afford :/ ( pret-a-porter de luxe and else ) or pieces that aren't for sale anyway ( like clothing from students projects ).
I don't believe in competition but in union.. In London lots of shops have shut down and i find it very sad . It is time for me to get involved a bit more into promoting unconventional fashion ( not only mine ! ).I don't do it for me but because i love it .

* who can apply ? anyone ( designers themself + stores ) selling handmade fashion and accessories ( footwear , hats ect ) for men and women . Most of the prices have to be under £500=$850.The pieces have to be original = bring something new . There is no criteria of style = any is welcome .

* application If you are interested please email me to freyagushi (at) googlemail.com with your website or wep page link ( if you have your own website and sell elsewhere like etsy or ebay send me those too ) , your country / city + reply the ? below
- up to 3 words to describe your style
- up to 3 words to describe your specificity ( ex printed rubber , taxidermy , medical tools ect )
- up to 3 words to describe your trademark pieces ( corsets , pvc catsuits ect , circus ruffled dress ect )

- up to 3 pictures

Any of you knowing designers or store carrying such creations don t hesitate to pass the word ;).
xx

- where are you located + if your workshop is open on appointment for people to buy ready made pieces / custom work

So last night I had a dream based on the NBC show "Parks and Recreation". I was out fishing with Leslie, Anne, and Mark. Unfortunately, while fishing Leslie hooked something big... it turned out to be an otter! We didn't know what to do. The hooked otter was obviously in a lot of pain. Another fisherman showed up and offered to shoot the otter and put it out of its misery. (He had a pistol on him, which weirded me out until he showed me his concealed weapon permit.)

I really didn't want to give up on the poor otter without at least TRYING to save it. Luckily for us, Mark was a doctor and had a scalpel with him (wait a minute, isn't he an architect or something in the show?) and offered to cut the otter open and surgically remove the hook. Except that the otter had a giant zipper on its stomach, so we just used that. Once we got the hook out we made up a little bed for the otter in a cardboard box and left it on the porch of the cabin we were staying in. Later that night the otter's mate showed up, concerned about it.

It was a stressful dream in the middle, but I guess it all turned out okay!

Meh.

I think I've been doing a lot of processing in my sleep...I am ambivalent today. Not quite sure which way to go. Or what to do or how to go about it. Worried about money. The wheres and whens and hows...All the details I know nothing about cuz it's all in the future...

I am trying to watch The third Mummy movie but for all of the action it's kind of boring. I want to like it more cuz the first two are incredibly entertaining. This one just kind of wandered about like the Jews in the desert...

I absolutely need to do some writing tonight or tomorrow. I am thinking about making blueberry muffins from scratch. I have a couple of pounds of frozen blueberries in the freezer. It would be a fun holiday treat...

I don't know about Christmas this year. Maybe I will just skip it. The thought of being cheerful makes me tired. Not because I don't like being friendly or that I am unhappy. It's just that most of the people in my life are going through transitions and noboby is in the right state of mind to be thinking about Santee Claus and his magickal elves. I love my family and friends but Thanksgiving is always more fun for me. Christms always seems to be an exercise in futility.

The kids love it though. So, I always try and do something for them...I have to remember it's for the kids...

I know everything is falling into place. It just takes a little awhile. Today is one thos those blah days where nothing happens and my brain is tired from all of the happenings of the last few days. Where I want to keep trudging forward but at the same time I can't muster up the bravado to get myself to move.

I will give myself the day off and tomorrow I will wake up spritely and get things done. And I will be happier about the holidays. Miracles do happen if you let them.

I've always had kind of messed up dreams. They stopped scaring me years ago, but I never knew what they were about. I used to go to a dream therapist, but that dude was a quack.

So i've had a few strange dreams that last couple nights. I was wondering if you could tell me what you think about them.

1. There were bones were in the trees, in the sky, and in the water. All of the animals had rotted away, their flesh covering the ground like soil. Hands pressed against my face, forcing out my pain. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t move, and no one could hear my screams. Footprints through the fur… carnivorous jesters… beads of pearls wrapped around the hanging man… it all made me want to go blind. The King would not allow it.
“Be so still,” he said. “Let me tickle you with my quill…”

Then I woke up.

2. I was in my old high school. A psychopath was killing all of my friends, one by one. He drained all the blood from their bodies, and left them in the dirt to be easily found. I knew that eventually, he would come for me. I went home to warn my family, but he followed me, and got into my house. He took my brother outside and began to beat him severely. He then took him to the roof, to force him to commit suicide. Just before he pushed my brother over the edge, he looked directly at me, and shot me in the head.

3. I was in the American Army, and I was patroling my old neighborhood with two other soldiers. We found a French POW and took him hostage. We took him down to the gas station, told him it was going to be okay, and then we hung him. It was supposed to be Helter Skelter.

Space to express my needs and intentions

I moved in with my father after my mom died and he didn't want the house to change at all. This little desk of my mother's (which I finally got permission to clear off) doesn't feel like sacred space, but it's the closest thing I have to privacy and something of my own.

This doesn't quite count as an altar, but it's a start. As I see more and more of your altars in this community, I'll hopefully do better

Expenditure Timeline

  • Dec. 3rd, 2009 at 12:02 PM
December - Jeep and Christmas presents
January - bookcases and BC pills (medical necessity)
February - Droid and new Renaissance fair costume
March - Renaissance fair and save college money
April - save birthday and college money
May - spend birthday and college money

I already got my new glasses, an early Christmas present from my parents, so that's one less thing I have to pay for.

Yay!

  • Dec. 3rd, 2009 at 9:09 AM
I'm buying a used Jeep Cherokee on December 19th. I've wanted a Cherokee since I was in high school, but back then they were expensive and all I could afford was a used Wrangler. Now, seventeen years later, I'm finally getting the Cherokee I wanted. It's white and it's gorgeous. I've already picked out the bumper stickers I'm going to slap on its ass. Today I transferred most of my last paycheck into my saving's account, which means I have a third of the money set aside. Over the next two weeks I'll set aside the other two-thirds. Whatever money's left over plus my Christmas bonus and the paycheck I get just before Christmas will all be for presents. Thankfully this month has five pay weeks, so that fifth paycheck will cover my rent and any gas to drive my Jeep into the new year. By the end of the month I'll be broke, but happy!

Ok right on!

On the twelfth day of Christmas, martinhazel sent to me...
Twelve henges drumming
Eleven films piping
Ten computers a-leaping
Nine aliens camping
Eight AI's a-chatting
Seven cairns a-reading
Six groves a-caravaning
Five fre-e-e-ee things!
Four tree circles
Three horror films
Two terry brooks
...and a shannara in a soulfly Song.
