Thanks to

[info]rovanda for reminding me what bear means to me.

The Bear is the keeper of the dreamtime,
and stores the teachings of dreams
until the dreamer wakes up to them.

With Bear, the power of
knowing has invited you to enter the silence
and become acquainted with the Dream Lodge,
that your goals may become concrete realities.

This is the strength of Bear.

I used to be afraid of bears because I had a friend mauled by a bear when I was a small child and his other friend who was killed. It made an impression. It was a hunting tale and i was three.

Chasing dream are just typical stress dreams so it is related to the stress from work, I am sure.

I need to stop and listen to my dreams more.

Thank you.

dreaming of Bears Again

BEAR
Last night was the first time I dreamt I was being chased by mama grizzly bear again.

I ran by and saw baby cub on the side of the mountain and I tried to bring my attention to her cub, but she seemed to know already.

I think it has been a year or so since I have dreamt of being chased by a bear.

I used to dream of it all the time when I lived in Alaska.

The dream used to terrify me.

Now I look in the dream for the messsage I am missing.

I think it is odd that my chase dreams always involve bears. Never people, cars, etc. Bears are not the usual symbols chase.

Still don't know yet this morning. I will have to ponder. Of course, if it was that obvious, she would not have to come to me in my dreams.

Bears are one of the most frequent visitors in my dreams - outside of demons and alien nightmares which are another post altogether

More dreams of bears

BEAR
Last night I dreamt I was living in a forest, protected by bears. Mother bear was patient and protective. We journeyed together to try to find my place in civilation.

I was terrified that someone would try to shoot Bear. I traveled on her back, my arms wrapped around her neck, hands covering her heart. My head could bend down and protect her skull. I knew only a shot in the heart or the brain could take down my bear. As long as I protected her from hunters, she would keep me safe from everything else.

The dream is quite long- making it into a dorm type apartment. To shorten the tale - A young man is a serial killer. I need to figure out how to get out with my bears safely. I make it back to the forest with the bears. In the end I am hunting the killer who is going after my bears first. My thought is to protect Bear - not really self preservation - though the two are closely tied.

I am not sure what lesson I am to take from this dream yet.
